The
Autumn Equinox seems like a good time to start reducing the gallery hours. We
will be closed on Thursday and open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will
have seasonal shows but they will be one day shows, for the most part Mary or I
will have the gallery open. The stock will be reduced for the show but we will
be open, watch for the open sign on out highway sign and near the entrance to
the parking lot.
Two
holidays coincide with the Autumn Equinox and initially they might seem to be ironic.
However comparing Mabon and Yom Kippur there is a connection.
Mabon,
the “second harvest”, the “changing seasons”. The giving of thanks for what we
have.
Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement. Conceivably, the
change from the past and giving thanks for forgiveness.
